The Worlds two weekends in a row

Spring in Melbourne is like a cycling explosion.  We certainly had a highlight of Australian Cycling with Melbourne Hosting the UCI World Road Champs last weekend.  This highly anticipated event however needed to take second place to a day off with my wife!  Sometimes in life dropping one’s own agenda is the best thing to do and I was craving a day off with my beloved partner in life more than seeing all those finely tuned athletes and awesome bikes in Geelong last Sunday (can you hear the pain).  My consolation prize is this: A trip to Canberra this weekend to support my very good mate Greg at the World MTB 24hor Solo event.  I am fully pumped and I better be at I am on deck to make 2min noddles at 1am and porridge at 3am. Greg has been training like a mad man for 12 months and is looking the goods for an age group win.
